About the work

At its core, my work is about being human. I explore themes of resilience, vulnerability, healing, memory, and connection, using fibre as a language to express experiences that are often difficult to put into words.

Inspiration

I am inspired by the natural world and the ways it mirrors the human experience. My work explores resilience, growth, transformation, and connection through the language of fibre.

Process

Handwoven tapestry created from reclaimed wool, cotton, silk, and linen fibres.

This work was created using hand weaving techniques on a loom. Reclaimed wool, cotton, silk, and linen fibres were woven, layered, and manipulated by hand to build texture, depth, and form. The finished textile was then carefully mounted and prepared for display.
