Creative work
I am an independent researcher of the Australian brass and concert band movement and have published my work on my blog, 'Band Blasts From the Past' since 2018. My research work follows stories of the brass bands and links the history together through newspaper articles, postcards, photographs and other historical material. All use of outside resources is fully referenced and acknowledged. I enjoy bringing this history to life and highlighting the brass bands and their place in early Australian society. As of this date, there are just over 40 posts on my blog.

What this certification covers
I believe my work should be certified as I do not use AI to produce any of the writing or graphical images. At most, the AI in Microsoft Word does help with spelling and grammar - and that's the extent of my use of it. Because my research is mainly through the National Library of Australia's Trove Archive, and the digitised newspapers, this is information I believe that any AI cannot replicate. I much prefer to summarise and analysis the historical context myself.
